New Events And Characters Available In Massive ‘WWE Immortals’ Update
As many wrestling fans know, WrestleMania 31 is showing this Sunday, March 29. Few WWE events compare to WrestleMania, which is essentially the Super Bowl for wrestling fans. To add to the excitement of this Sunday’s event, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, NetherRealms and WWE have announced that a massive new “WWE Immortals” update is available now.
This new update will not only add “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, as covered previously, but will also include wrestling legend and recent Hall of Fame inductee “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Like previous wrestlers before them, there will be multiple versions of each character, with Savage having two playable forms in the game: Renegade and Macho King. Stone Cold will also have two playable versions, as fans will be able to purchase a Texas Rattlesnake version of the superstar along with a version called the Icebound Watcher.
In addition to those two new characters, a new version of Triple H will also be part of the new update. Announced on the “WWE Immortals” Facebook page, this will be the third version of the WWE COO in the game, like Steve Austin before him. Triple H already had two versions of himself in the game prior to this new Skull king version; one as a suit wearing authority figure and the other more powerful version dubbed as the "King of Kings." This iteration of “The Game” appears to be based on his entrance from last year’s WrestleMania 30, where he lost to WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan.
However, new characters aren’t the only things coming to “WWE Immortals.” As noted by Touch Arcade, new events are coming to the mobile brawler as well. The first event, dubbed as a WrestleMania event, will be running until April 2 and will have exclusive gear players can earn after winning the event. These daily events will supposedly reflect on the WrestleMania 31 matches, so fans will probably be excited.
This looks to be a big mobile year for Warner Bros. Interactive. Along with this massive new update for “WWE Immortals,” the developers are also porting the upcoming “Mortal Kombat X” to mobile devices.
More characters are said to be coming to the game soon, so players hoping to use Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Ryback or Cesaro might be getting their wishes soon enough. Fans can get the brand new “WWE Immortals” update right now through the iOS app store and through Google Play.
