New Google Nexus 5 Concept Image Shows Off Colourful Cases and Phablet-like Design [PHOTOS]
A new concept image of Google Nexus 5 is making rounds on the Internet due to its colourful cases and phablet-like design.
Designer Jo Enaje posted his version of the Google Nexus 5 in his Google+ account. Some of the great features of the latest render are the almost 5-inch screen display with slimmer bezel and its various solid colours - blue, red, yellow and green.
The new Google Nexus 5 concept has sharp edges compared to the round edges of previous Nexus smartphones giving it a phablet-like look.
However, Google already hinted on the look of the much awaited Nexus smartphone, as the device mysteriously appeared in Google Play Store last week.
Consumers were surprised to see the Nexus 5 posted beside the Nexus 7 2 and Nexus 10 tablet in the Play Store. According to the post, the device costs $349 for the 16 GB variant. The price is $50 higher compared to its predecessor. Moreover, Google Nexus 5 bears a great resemblance to the Nexus 7 2 tablet. The leaked photo confirmed that LG will manufacture the device as the LG logo was seen on the back panel of the handset.
However, the link in the Google Play Store does not work and does not allow consumers to take pre-orders.
Google still has not issued a comment on the said leak. This is not the first time that the search engine giant produced a leak for its upcoming devices. In August, a video of the new Android OS named KitKat leaked from Google's official YouTube account. The video was later removed by Google after some tech Web sites spotted it.
According to the rumours, the Google Nexus 5 release date will be on Oct 28 alongside Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
According to rumours, consumers should expect the Google Nexus 5 to pack 4.95 inches Full HD screen display. It may be powered by 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdrafon 800 quad-core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. Users may also take photos with 8 MP back camera and 1.3 MP front camera.
There are reports that claimed that LTE-enabled LG Nexus 4 will also be available this month.
