A new concept image of Google Nexus 5 showed off high-end and almost unrealistic specs and features.

Google Nexus 5 features included a 32 megapixel rear camera. We knew that this was possible since the newly released Nokia 1020 packed 41 MP camera. Google Nexus 5 also included core processor paired with 8 GB of RAM and the latest 4.3 version Jelly Bean OS. Lastly, the new concept image boasted a large 7000 mAh battery, which is expected to last a week long.

Rumours claimed that the Google Nexus 5 will include a 5-inch Full HD screen display, an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 13 MP rear camera, 3300 mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS.

The handset was rumoured to be available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants and will support 4G/LTE connectivity, which was missing in the Nexus 4.

Google Nexus 5 release date was expected to be around October and November in order to maximize full profits of LG Nexus 4. However, Google has not confirmed the date of announcement yet.

Based on the latest rumours, LG Electronics was teaming up again with Google for the development of Google Nexus 5.

LG was about to release the successor of LG Optimus G tagged as LG G2. The handset was said to provide hints on the possible Google Nexus 5 features.

However, there were contradicting reports that Google Nexus 5 release date is delayed, as Google is still searching for a company to manufacture the next Nexus smartphone. Reports claimed that Google will no longer be teaming up with LG Electronics in making the successor of the popular LG Nexus 4 smartphone. Reports claimed that Google is eyeing new companies to help make the device in time for the Google Nexus 5 release date.
