New Information on ‘Battlefield Hardline’ Open Beta, EA Access And More Screenshots Revealed
To test "Battlefield Hardline" to its limits, developer Visceral Games is making sure that it invites as many players into the experience as possible. So when they announced the open beta, it literally means that it is open to everyone and on every platform available: PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3.
On the official "Battlefield' website, it was announced that open beta participants will get to play on two maps and modes. One of the modes is Hotwire, which is a combination of warfare and speed, and a mode that is said to embody what Visceral Games is planning for "Battlefield Hardline." The other mode is Conquest, the 64-player cops and criminals approach to the title.
With the progression level cap taken away, the developer revealed that it really wants players to test "Battlefield Hardline" to its limits. And after testing, the developer also want to hear feedback via the Battlefield forums.
But for Xbox One players, there's another way to play "Battlefield Hardline." Even before the official release on Mar. 17, if you already have the EA Access, you can immediately play the game using this service. Segment Next reports that, over at the official "Battlefield" Twitter, the developer confirmed that early access to "Battlefield Hardline" will be available through EA Access.
Even before the open beta is here, the developer has made sure that the teasers don't stop coming. Over at the official "Battlefield Hardline" Twitter page, there are a number of screenshots that show off the game's upcoming modes and gameplay scenes.
Among the latest reveals, Visceral Games has also revealed the different features that the "Battlefield Hardline" has in store. So far, players will be able to take their crew as lead detective Nick Mendoza in the single-player campaign. But once you step into the world of multiplayer, you can either side with the law or the crooks.
Technology is also not lacking in "Battlefield Hardline" open beta. For those on the side of the cops, your badge alone already has the power to make criminals surrender. There's also a scanner that lets tag enemies and alarms from a distance as well as scope out evidence when you're hunting down goons.
Like in those criminal dramas, there are also ways to maintain stealth on a mission so you won't always have to go guns'-ablazin'. One way to do this is to make use of gun shells as distractions-they've worked on crime dramas, so the developer has made it possible in "Battlefield Hardline" as well.
While "Battlefield Hardline" is pretty much the new title that fans of the franchise are now looking forward to, this does not mean that there are no longer any developments for last year's "Battlefield 4." In an update from VG 24/7, it was revealed that there are some new developments for the last title.
The source states that the Kraken that was originally found in the Paracel Storm map has now been erased from the data. Not only does this mean that spotting the Kraken Easter egg is no longer an option, but getting through to the secret levolution event is now impossible. DICE has reportedly deleted the files, which were originally part of an unfinished cataclysmic map event. Perhaps it's time to move on to the upcoming "Battlefield Hardline" beta in the meantime.
