New models of iPads and next generation Macs will arrive this October. According to reports from a French Web site, Apple will finally introduce its Haswell-powered Macs, refreshed Airs and new iPads. With the iPhone 5S and 5C arriving ahead, can this October event finally put Apple back on top?

That remains a big question until Apple finally unveils what it has been working on especially regarding its tablets, notebooks and desktops. The report said the release of new Apple products will coincide with the October 15 event.

Apple will show the fourth generation iPad and iPad mini. The October 15 affair is the second Apple event. The first event took place just last week where the tech giant introduced their budget phone iPhone 5C and another installment of the iPhone 5, the 5S.

As with previous releases, Apple remains tight lipped about what people can really expect from the devices. Some sources say the company will reveal a full-sized and fully redesigned iPad. The design should be more similar to the iPad mini. Throughout the months, there have been countless reports and leaks showing the full-size iPad sporting a redesigned case.

The thinner profile and slim bezel indicates Apple's focus on harmonizing the look of its two iPad lines.

The iPad mini, on the other hand, still remains a mystery including its full specs. Sources say that Apple might be releasing a variant with Retina display. The device will also supposedly feature high-density screen with the small display.

Just like the iPhone 5C, there were also sources saying that Apple could be working on a lower-cost iPad mini. The device may not come until next year.

Haswell Macs

As for the Macs, Apple Insider reported that Apple may be working on a new line of notebooks and desktops. This means including Intel's Haswell chips on every device. Earlier this year, Apple already equipped their MacBook Air notebooks with Haswell. The chipset gave more battery life and computing power for MacBooks.

It seems the tech giant wants to extend those capabilities to their Mac mini, MacBook Pro and the rest of the iMac Line. If iMacs will have Haswell on them then will likely be around a base frequency of 3.1GHz though this can also go up to 3.9GHz with Turbo Boost.

The MacBook Pro line was supposed to arrive this September although reports now say Apple might move it to October. If this will push through, then Apple will reveal a completely revamped line of computing devices.
