New MacBook Air, MacBook Pro Retina Release Date in Mid-2014?
New and upgraded versions of MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Retina release date was reported to roll out in the middle of the year.
Gotta Be Mobile reported mid-2014 is a potential release date of the rumored Apple laptops. Earlier, it was reported MacBooks will arrive at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers' Conference on June 2 at Moscone West in San Francisco.
Apple usually release new notebooks every 2 years with minor spec updates, although some updates can bring dramatic performance or battery life improvements or a new design.
In the previous year, the Cupertino-based tech giant introduced MacBook Pro with Retina display. Thus, consumers did not expect that the company will release an updated version this year. Also, iPad Pro was rumored to replace MacBook Air.
New reports suggested Apple plans a new MacBook Air release for June and Apple is launching a MacBook Air Retina with a new high-resolution display.
According to reliable KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a new 12-inch MacBook Air with a Retina display is on its way. This slimmer MacBook Air will reportedly offer a larger screen in the same size as the 11-inch MacBook Air to offer more power and productivity in a smaller package. This device will also include a new design minus the buttons and the fan.
Meanwhile, MacBook Pro with Retina display will have a slight upgrade and the details are limited. But reports claimed the device will have a new type of RAM that will yield a "lightning quick" performance.
But it is still unclear whether Apple will offer minor updates on its notebooks in June. Both devices are expected to arrive in late Q3 or early Q4, which means September through November as its supposed release window, in time for the holiday shopping season that will surely translate into big profits.
