New Microsoft Lumia 532 Comes With WP 8.1 Lumia Denim Update Onboard For Only $93; Release Date Set For February
The ever-increasing demand for the entry-level handsets has made Microsoft stick to the success formula and now the company is gearing up to release a slew of such Lumia handsets. One such device is the Microsoft Lumia 532, the worthy successor of the Lumia 530.
As far as the Lumia 532 specifications go, the handset will reportedly feature a modest 4.0-inch WVGA LCD display, bundled with 800 x 480 pixels screen resolution. Similar to other Lumia devices, this handset will also come with a plastic/polycarbonate body and hence, the weight of the device is only 131.8 g. Under the hood, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chip with a quad-core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and will be backed by 1 GB of RAM. It is worth noting that, the predecessor Lumia 530 comes with an inferior 512 MB of RAM, points out Phone Arena.
On the software end, the smartphone will reportedly run the Windows Phone 8.1 OS, packed with Lumia Denim update. With respect to the phone memory, the Lumia 532 will come equipped with 8 GB of internal storage capacity and microSD card support for expansion up to 128 GB. Adding a cherry on top, Microsoft will offer 30 GB of OneDrive cloud storage for free. Moreover, this Lumia device will reportedly support Skype video calls. Similar to other Microsoft devices, this phone comes with built-in Microsoft Outlook and the Microsoft Office suite with access to edit and share MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, on the go. In addition, for smaller and personal documents, the OneNote can be used as a note-taking tool, says Lumia Conversations.
Moving on to the camera configuration, the Lumia 532 will reportedly sport a 5 MP rear-facing unit and a VGA snapper at the front. Furthermore, the handset will be available as single-SIM and dual-SIM variants. Lastly, the whole configuration is held together and powered by a 1,560 mAh battery unit.
Speaking of the Lumia 532 release date, the smartphone will hit the store shelves across Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East in February. Also, the handset is reportedly priced at 79 euro, before taxes and subsidies, which roughly translates to $93.
