Are you one of the many smartphone users who can no longer wait on the slow Android 4.4 KitKat update on your smartphone? Motorola offers Moto G packed with Android 4.4 KitKat OS to U.S. buyers on its imminent launch in January 2014.

Buyers who would like to have a taste of the new KitKat OS from Google's Android may get the new Moto G smartphone as the handset will deliver the new mobile software to consumers in the U.S. early next year.

According to the Omio Motorola's Senior Vice President of Operations Mark Randal, all of the Moto G phones shipping after Christmas should have Android 4.4 KitKat on board. The Moto G is originally packed with 4.3 Jelly Bean OS but will receive the Android 4.4 KitKat OS update in January, which is probably one of the first smartphones to receive the much awaited update. Meanwhile, many other smartphones give tentative dates on the rollout of the Android KitKat OS. This is another reason why consumers should go get the new Moto G.

Google-owned Motorola Mobility announced at a launch event in New York City on Nov. 13, the new Moto G, which is a cheaper alternative to the Moto X. Moto G will be priced $179 free of a contract. The 8 GB variant of Moto G is priced at $179 while the 16 GB model costs $199. The device will also be available through various carriers like Sprint, Verizon Wireless and AT&T for $99.99.

This week, Moto G will arrive in Brazil and in parts of Europe. By 2014, the Moto G will be available in 30 countries with more than 60 partners on board.

Moto G features include a 4.5-inch 720p HD display with 329 pixels-per-inch. The device also packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. The handset has a 5 MP rear-facing camera and 1.3 MP front-facing camera, as well as a 2070mAh battery.

The new Motorola handset also has a customizable feature and is offering 19 customization colour options, including interchangeable Motorola Shells and Flip Shells in seven colours, as well as Grip Shells in five colours.
