The nostalgia-filled “Final Fantasy: Record Keeper” seems to keep getting new content on the daily. The social-mobile roleplaying game, published by Square Enix and developed by DeNa games, has managed to entertain fans of the “Final Fantasy” series, due to its number of timed events that usually result in new characters being unlocked. The latest “Record Keeper” update expands the game even more, adding a number of new realms to explore and characters to unlock.

According to Touch Arcade, players will now be able to unlock new records within pre-existing “Final Fantasy” records, adding more levels and fights to the mix. Fans of the series will also be happy to know that they will be able to unlock two new realms, both of which are the “Final Fantasy I” realm and the “Final Fantasy II” realm.

Unlocking the “Final Fantasy I” realm involves playing through the Phantom Train record in the “Final Fantasy VI” realm. Once the Phantom Train record is beaten, players will then be able to access the new realm, while also unlocking “Final Fantasy” character Cyan.

Players, who want to go to the “Final Fantasy II” realm, must play through various records, including the ones in “Final Fantasy I.” Once fans of the game unlock “Final Fantasy II,” they will be able to access even more new records to play through.

The new characters players can unlock unsurprisingly come from the realms of “Final Fantasy I” and “Final Fantasy II.” Beating the first record in “Final Fantasy I” unlocks the Knight character, which was an upgraded version of the fighter from the original game. Playing through various records in “Final Fantasy II” eventually unlocks lead character Josef.

In addition to the new realms and characters, fans can also unlock mythril and stamina crystals. The stamina crystals are obviously used to fill the game’s stamina meter, while the mythril is a form of in-game currency.

Fans can take a gander at the new characters in the official “Final Fantasy: Record Keeper” website, where players can view their sprites. The game is currently available to download for free on the iOS App Store and on Google Play for Android devices.
