New Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Render Shows off Massive Screen Wrapped in a Boxy Casing [PHOTOS]
Samsung's upcoming phablet, the Galaxy Note 3, inspires too many phone concepts leading to its rumoured September 2013 release date. The latest showed the phablet as a boxy handset with a gigantic screen.
From designer Yugatech and Concept Phones, the new Note 3 render lives up to the phablet image that Samsung actually started - an oversized smartphone that boasts of a screen big enough to be a tablet.
Big as it is, the Note 3 remains a comfy handset to handle on one hand with the S-Pen stylus to provide for fun-filled navigation.
The latest concept, Concept Phones said, closely resembled that of the Note 3 image provided by prolific tech scoop messenger @evleaks.
The profile is spot on, the report claims, save for the noticeable bulk, which is uncharacteristic of Samsung Galaxy smartphone designs - known for curved corners, thin edge and light footprint.
Interestingly, the image from @evleaks seems to suggest the heavyset body-build of the Lumia 920, which Nokia had unleashed in late 2013.
No official word yet from Samsung but the Note 3, according to numerous reports, will sport a screen size of between 5.5-inch and 6-inch with a flexible screen for added gadget durability.
The phablet will draw its power from an 8-core Exynos Octa 5 CPU with a higher battery rating for longer operating hours.
One possible highlight of the Note 3 release is the enhanced S-Pen stylus, which Samsung will reportedly pair with an IGZO display screen technology from Sharp for higher sensitivity. This makes for better S-Pen functions, analyst said.
The Galaxy Note 3 is believed set for a September 2013 release date, with Samsung likely to stage an Unpacked event between Sept 1 and Sept 5. It will be dubbed Episode 2, coming from the March 14 unveiling of the Galaxy S4 in New York.
