New Samsung Galaxy S5 Concept Borrows Note 3 And HTC One Designs
A new Samsung Galaxy S5 concept image has borrowed the physical designs of Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One.
According to SamsungS5Now, the handset will pack a 5.3-inch SUPER AMOLED Display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 556 ppi pixel density. The Galaxy S5 will pack the 64-bit Exynos 6 processor.
The article reported that the device will boot a hex core processor to deliver butter-like processing. The Galaxy S line always pack different processors in its U.S. and international variants. The report said there will be a Qualcomm variant packing a quad core Snapdragon 805 processor.
The device will also include a separate graphics chip, Adreno 420, and a 4 GB RAM to aid the processing. It is believed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will be the most powerful Galaxy smartphone to hit the market. The handset will sport a 16MP ISOCELL rear camera and will feature 4K video recording capability.
Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack a TouchWiz UI that will transform the sluggish interface. It will come with various modifications like halo-like style and floating widgets and more. The TouchWiz UI revamp will come on top of Android 4.4 KitKat OS that is the mobile software of the handset.
Last week, Samsung and ARM confirmed that it will soon launch a 14nm 64-bit Exynos 6 CPU chips in 2014. Such processor will be packed in future Samsung smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4. The ARM official said the new processor will be similar to iPhone 5S' 64-bit A7 CPU. This is also what Samsung exec JK Shin said in his statement in September.
Some of the other most probable features to be packed in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 are 16MP ISOCELL camera and 2,560 x 1,440 WQHD and 560 ppi resolution. On Samsung's Annual Analyst Day, it announced that its smartphones arriving in 2015 will pack Ultra High Definition 4K displays. Samsung Galaxy S5 will also pack the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS heralding new Android features.
Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is still unconfirmed. Rumors point to possible launch dates early next year, most probably in March. Some tech events such as Consumers Electronics Show and Mobile World Congress will be taking place next year.
Samsung has been an eager participant in tech events and introduced new devices on such events.
