New Samsung Galaxy S5 Concept Packs 'Flex' Display And Android 4.4 Kitkat OS In Galaxy Note’s Size
New Samsung Galaxy S5 concept image has shown "flex" display packed in a screen that is as big as Galaxy Note.
The latest features came from folks of simonlyradar.nl and imagined the rumors of two variants coming on its release date. One version is the regular solid smartphone of 2014 and the other is a "flex" version of the flagship.
The designers of the latest designs based the concepts on the recent rumors roaming the Web. The handsets packed a Super AMOLED 5-inch screen display for the normal version and 2K display that is 5.2 inches in size for the flex version.
Other specifications include a 2.7 GHz quad core processor, probably a Snapdragon 800 or Snapdragon 805. There will also be 3.5 GB of RAM, support for a 2K resolution and a 16 megapixel OIS camera at the back with 4K video recording, 3500 mAh battery (3300 mAh in the flex model), USB 3.0 connectivity, a front 2.5 MP camera and it runs Android 4.4 KitKat with a brand new TouchWiz. The concept also showed off a slim built with aluminum body edge free-screen.
Samsung Galaxy S5 will pack 64-bit processor as Samsung and ARM confirmed last week that it will soon launch a 14nm 64-bit Exynos 6 CPU chips in 2014. This is also what Samsung Executive JK Shin said in his statement in September. Other rumored features of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 are 16MP ISOCELL camera and 2,560 x 1,440 WQHD and 560 ppi resolution. The handset may also come with a long-lasting 4,000 mAh battery life.
Samsung Galaxy S5 will also pack the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS heralding new Android features. However, Samsung Galaxy S5 will not be an Android smartphone and will pack a different mobile software. The smartphone may run with a combination of Tizen OS and Firefox OS ditching Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Samsung's Chief Sec. Wonsuk Lee said Samsung is working on its relationship with the makers of the mentioned operating systems.
Latest reports claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 release date will be in April next year while previous speculations stated that the handset may arrive as early as February and will probably make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress 2014.
