New Samsung Galaxy S5 Concept Shows Off Edge-to-Edge Screen Display
A new Samsung Galaxy S5 concept has an edge-to-edge screen display.
The concept is courtesy of Tobias Hornof who imagined the Samsung Galaxy S5 to have a wider screen and aluminium unibody design. The overall size of the device will not be increased. According to Hornof, Samsung Galaxy S5 has a 64 bit processor, 32 or 64 GB of storage, 16 megapixel camera with dual flash module and 8 megapixel front camera.
The device will pack either an Android 4.4 KitKat OS or the "Samsung OS" and a touchpad embedded with fingerprint sensor. Samsung is rumoured to lessen its dependency to Google's Android by developing its own operating system.
Latest rumours claimed that Samsung Galaxy S5 will be dustproof and water-resistant just like the rugged version of Samsung Galaxy S4. Moreover, Galaxy S5 will not increase the megapixels of Samsung Galaxy S4's existing back camera. However, Samsung is reported to improve the camera lens of the said feature to bring clearer photos.
Samsung Galaxy S5 features may also include a flexible screen display fuelled by the rumours that Samsung is already testing the said screen displays.
Samsung Galaxy S5 is also expected to come with faster 64-bit processor, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, fingerprint sensor and longer battery life. However, some reports stated that the 64-bit processor and fingerprint sensor may production issues and may not arrive to the Samsung Galaxy S5.
The upcoming flagship phone of Samsung is expected to be launched in the first quarter of next year, most probably in March.
Some reports stated that the device will make an appearance at either the CES or MWC events early next year. However, it is most likely that Samsung will hold its own launch event near the dates of the events.
However, Samsung released no official comment on the aforementioned rumours surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S5.
