New Samsung Galaxy Tab S: Specifications, Colors, Models And Leaked Images
Reveling in the success of Galaxy S5, Samsung currently has a new tablet in the offing with amazing features, eyeing the tablet market dominated by Apple iPads.
According to reports, Samsung will be releasing a new tablet called Galaxy Tab S, expected to sport a "wide quad extended graphics array (WQXGA).
Also, SamMobile has the leaked images of Galaxy Tab S. The much touted feature of this tablet includes a high-resolution AMOLED screen. The Tab S will use the new tablet specific UI "Magazine UX" that the company developed for its Note and Tab Pro tablets, BGR cited.
The device will sport a regular plastic case design on the back of the tablet. The Tab S is expected to come in two variants: an 8.4-inch model and 10.5-inch model and the display resolution is expected to be 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.
The tablet will be powered by a solid octa-core Exynos 5420 CPU with 1.9 GHz quad-core Cortex-A15 cluster and 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 cluster. Tab S is expected to run on Android 4.4 KitKat on top of Magazine UX. Also, the device is expected to sport a 3 GB of 32-bit dual-channel 933 MHz LPDDR3e RAM.
When it comes to camera, the Tab S will house an 8 MP rear-facing camera, along with 2.1 MP front-facing camera unit. As far the connectivity goes, the tablet supports Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, LTE and IR sensor. The device will also feature a fingerprint scanner and microUSB 2.0 port.
Other reports claimed there will be two color options to choose from i.e. shimmer white and titanium gray.
