New 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' mod adds better textures to game
Awarded as the Game of the Year during the Game Awards, CD Projekt Red’s “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is without doubt one of the best looking games for current gen consoles. The modding community has also done well in providing improvements to the game through mods and a new one out now provides the title with even better visuals.
Now available on Nexus Mods is a new “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” mod that allows players to add more high-definition and more detailed textures to the objects in CD Projekt Red’s title. The Witcher 3 HD Reworked project provides improvements on several in-game objects such as rocks, rooftops, floors, treasure chest and trees just to name a few.
The Witcher 3 HD Reworked project is already on version 2.0. Mod creator Halk Hogan PL hopes to add better textures to the game. However, he is currently deciding on whether “Fallout 4” or “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” should on the receiving end of his future projects.
Halk notes that the new mod for “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” will not affect the performance of the game in drastic ways. As with other texture packs for games, the performance tends to get affected and generally, most games run slower once given texture mods.
Meanwhile, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is considered as one of the best titles 2015 has to offer. The Verge notes that there are a ton of reasons why the game is worthy of the title. Aside from having good gameplay mechanics and excellent visuals, the game itself is also expansive.
Within hours upon hours of gameplay in store for the players, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” provides a massive replayability value and an expansive DLC with Hearts of Stone. The game’s massive open-world is also worth noting.
