YouTube unveils a new phone application that allows users to navigate on the popular upload Web site using their mobile phone. The new application is out now in the Android Market in the US.

YouTube Remote creates a virtual connection between the user's phone and YouTube Leanback. YouTube users can pair their phone with Leanback screen by simply signing into YouTube Remote on their Android phone, and to YouTube Leanback on their Google TV or computer with the same YouTube account.

Once connected, users can use the browse and discovery interface on YouTube Remote to find and queue up videos to watch, and send them all to Leanback with a single tap. YouTube Remote allows users to play, pause, skip forward and back, and control the sound volume.

At present, YouTube Remote is in beta phase and contains new and experimental features that are not in the official YouTube Android app. The new application is not yet available in countries other than the US but YouTube promised to make it available outside the US soon.

To download the application, scan the QR code below or go to the Android Market app on your phone and search for "YouTube Remote".
