Newest ‘Driveclub’ Patch Brings New Features, Support For New Add-ons, Level 50 Reward And More
The latest “Driveclub” patch 1.12 is already out, and it brings with it some new features to enhance gamers’ experience. Developer Evolution Studios laid out the new changes via the official “Driveclub” Facebook post. One feature that had fans clamoring is the addition of the Replays feature. Players can now save a Replay for Single Events and Tours and view it later on.
There is also a Driver Level 50 reward in the form of the Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione. And for PlayStation fans, the famous Photo Mode can now be used in a Replay at any point in the game.
Minor additions also include additional options for controlling screen brightness, changing the volume levels, making AI opponents in a Single Event drive in the same as the player’s choice and selecting factory paint jobs for AI opponents. The Drift Mode scoring has also been refined so that players can get more points scored for momentum, control and staying on the track.
The patch will also add in support for the announced add-ons coming to “Driveclub.” There is now support for the Peugeot Onyx Concept and Lamborghini Expansion pack. In the Facebook post, Evolution Studios also laid out the schedule for the upcoming Lamborghini and Pacesetter updates. Those in North America can expect the update on March 24 while those in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and U.K. will get it on March 25.
Players who are still looking forward to the PS Plus Edition of “Driveclub” will also find that the update following the 1.12 is also something to look forward to. The developer already laid out the groundwork for the other developments that it plans to bring in afterwards, which include server upgrades in the hopes of releasing both the “Driveclub” PS Plus Edition and the “Driveclub” companion app.
New ranks are also in the works so instead of another driver level 50 reward, Evolution Studios has already hinted on new ranks. There will also be more cars and the addition of private lobbies in multiplayer mode.
DualShockers also managed to obtain some screenshots that show off the new mirage features that has been added by the update. The new effect can be seen upon closer inspection. At the far end of the road from the car, the pavement looks as though it has been submerged in a thin film of water.
This is the typical mirage that can be seen on roads. This can be considered as another improvement on the graphics of “Driveclub,” which has already provided its viewers with a number of patches that have been gradually improving the overall look and feel of the game.
