With iPhone 5 rumors running rampant it's easy to overlook other Apple rumors mainly the one about the next generation Mac Book Air to come out this summer.

Sources in Apple's upstream supply chain said that component suppliers for the Mac maker "will run in full gear next month", according to a report from the DigiTimes. This is because Apple's next generation of Mac Books will be due out this summer.

Rumors about a July launch for the new Mac Book have been reported before with sources saying that the Mac Book Airs have been cleared for production before but Apple was reluctant to release new models until they could have the finalized copy of Mac OS X Lion installed.

The parts and components for the new Mac Book Airs will total 2.2 to 2.4 million units with projected estimates pushing it to 2.7 to 2.8 million units ordered in July. Other sources from AppleInsider have placed the initial estimate of the Airs at only 400,000 units during the first month on the market with an expected quarterly run of just 1 million units which seems to be more realistic.

Other features of the MacBook Air have been speculated about but sources haven't found any concrete information about the new Mac Book. It has been rumored that the Airs will have the new 32 nanometer ultra low voltage Core i5 and Core i7 and a maximum RAM of 8Gb.

Apple's third generation mobile processor, called the A6 has been rumored to be released in the 6th generation of iPhones and third generation of iPads in 2012. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is said to be the next manufacturer of the A6 replacing Samsung Electronics. However, until this is confirmed this report remains another one of those Apple rumors.
