Next iPhone Killer Features: 5-Inch 3D Display, Sapphire Cover, 12MP Cam, A9X Chip & 256GB Memory
Call it the iPhone 6S, 7 or even 8 but the iPhone 6 sequel is surely bursting with power specs and killer features in time for its future release date.
Thanks to the first notable upcoming iPhone render and a new a new Apple patent, fans are afforded glimpses of the next iPhone make - unsurprisingly stunning and boasting of the features and functionalities skipped by the current model.
5-inch 3D display
According to Concept Phones, designer Steel Drake made a jaw-dropping visualization future sibling of the iPhone 6 (images of which are viewable here and here). The Drake render was so awesome that its creator made a bold bet on its realization, likely for 2016 or 2017.
The same concept picks up on the latest rumour that 3D glassless panel is in the horizon for the next iPhone. And from 4.7-inch, the device screen is bumped up 5-inch diagonally, beaming too in 2K display resolution or higher.
Sapphire cover
Notwithstanding that its sapphire partner is beset by troubles, it appears that Apple is never giving up on the possibility of sapphire glass cover for the iPhone of the future. A new patent filing from the tech giant is supporting this likelihood, Apple Insider said in a report.
In the latest of its growing portfolio manufacturing technology that involves sapphire, Apple is looking to attach the material on iPhone screen with the use of assembly techniques in which mortise and tenon joints will play crucial parts.
The combined approach and technology will ensure that the next iPhone build is more durable and thinner than ever plus the assurance of a "substantially gap-free construction," added Apple Insider.
12MP main shooter
The 8MP cam has been an iPhone mainstay for the past few years but the camera standard will soon get the megapixel boost with the iPhone 7 or 8 likely reaching to a high of 12MP in the rear shooter, which Concept Phones said remains based on the Steel Drake iPhone vision.
A9X processing chip
Whether coming from TSMC or Samsung, the next-generation CPU engine to power the iPhone model two years from now is the A9X chip that is expected to deliver top-notch brute, speed and higher energy efficiency to the iOS-run smartphone.
256GB storage configuration
Concept Phones is reckoning that by 2017, the future iPhone will come with desktop-class internal flash drive, probably as high as 256GB or double the size of the highest available memory for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Also, 16GB will likely become an Apple history as storage will start at 32GB or 64GB by the time of the release date for the iPhone 7 or 8.
