Price cuts on the first generation Nexus 10 tablet has begun. People can now buy the first Nexus 10 from eBay at a very affordable price. The tablet is now available $360. This is a $140 discount from the original price found on Google Play. According to the a report by Android Police, the discounted price came after the 16 GB Nexus 10 also came on sale for only $319.

Along with this, people are also wondering the upcoming Nexus 10 can compete with Apple's upcoming iPad. Both companies are expected to release their new slates this Oct. Reports say that Nexus 10 may be available through Google Play, Best Buy and other similar stores just in time for the holidays.

Google remains tightlipped about the details of the device. According to the rumor mill, Nexus 10 may pack on a Snapdragon chipset plus a 2560 x 1600 pixel display. Apple's iPad 5, on other hand, will reportedly run on by a new A7X chip.

This means both the Nexus 10 and the iPad 5 will go through considerable processor upgrade. The current chip found on existing models is based on an A5 chip. There are also many sources citing the release date of the Nexus 10 this October.

Google has chosen Asus to create its first and second generation Nexus 7. Seeing Asus for the Nexus 10 is a likely turnout.

With Google's Android 4.4 KitKat to be released this month as well, it is also highly likely that the Nexus 10 2 will be the flagship device for it.
