Nexus 2015 rumors: confirmed LG Nexus 5 (2015) specifications surface, affordable pricing expected
LG Nexus 5 (2015) is one of the most hyped and awaited smartphones of 2015. It is slated to get announced at the end of the coming month. It is expected to come out with an affordable price tag.
According to Android Police, the LG Nexus 5 (2015) will be coming with a 5.2 inches display screen with support for full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Previous rumours suggested that it would be featuring a Quad HD resolution supporting display.
The low resolution supporting display will help in producing longer battery life. The Snapdragon 808 chipset will be powering the LG Nexus 5 (2015) along with 3 GB of RAM. It will be available in two internal storage variants of 16 GB and 32 GB. The publication did not mention whether the handset will arrive with support for external storage.
The main camera of the LG Nexus 5 (2015) will be of 12.3 MP and on the front, it will sport a 5 MP selfie camera. It will be featuring the USB Type-C connector and will be equipped with a 2,700 mAh battery.
The LG Nexus 5 (2015) will be available in color options like white, black and blue. GSM Arena states that on the basis of the rumoured specifications of the LG Nexus 5 (2015), it can be understood that it will carry a lower price tag than the Nexus 6 from 2014.
As of this writing, the official name of the upcoming Nexus smartphone from LG has not been confirmed by Google. According to G for Games that cites South Korean media as its source claims that the LG Nexus 5 (2015) release date is pegged as Sept. 29. The Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) phablet is also expected to launch alongside its LG sibling on the same date.
