Nexus 4 LTE vs. Nokia Lumia 925: Smart Phone Battle on Features and Specs [PHOTOS]
The May 2013 Google I/O event may not have offered an exciting launch on the Nexus 4 LTE but comparisons are still being made against other rival smart phones. Google is expected to offer an enhanced Nexus 4 smart phone with LTE support to face tough competition with the latest Nokia Windows Phone 8 "Catwalk" device.
Nexus 4 LTE will reportedly be an enhanced version of the existing Nexus 4 smart phone with the 4G LTE support capable of providing faster mobile data networks. The new Nexus 4 features and specs include the 4.6-inch screen with IPS+ LCD technology, the Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.9GHz, 2GB of RAM, an Adreno 320 GPU and the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.
On the other hand, Nokia Lumia 925 is a developed version as well of the Nokia Lumia 920 smart phone with an enhanced PureView camera technology and an aluminum body design. The smart phone features an impressive 4.5-inch AMOLED screen with 1280x768p resolution, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 8.7MP camera and Gorilla Glass that prevents scratches.
Display experts Hannu Lahti and Kenneth Majander of a development team based in Salo, Finland share their insights. "With the Nokia Lumia 925, we're using a new laminated AMOLED display technology which brings a lot of advantages," Majander stated.
"For one thing, AMOLED allows us to remove an air gap between the screen and the display," Lahti added. This made the Nokia Lumia 925 improve the performance of the Nokia ClearBlack technology.
Addition of the Nokia PureMotion HD+ and ClearBlack layers allows the users to get hold of extremely rich colors and punchy contrast for a high-quality image on the screen. The Super Sensitive display has the innovative generation touch detection feature.
Nokia Lumia 925 is pre-loaded with the Nokia Here Maps App, Nokia Music and a few others applications like the new Lumia Colour Profiling as a component of the screendisplay settings. "Some people prefer more natural colours on their screen. Others want to make it more vivid. The new app offers a slider allowing 11 degrees of vividness," Majander explained.
Another remarkable Nokia Lumia 925 app is the new Nokia Smart Camera. Combining with Nokia's current Creative Studio and Cinemagraph apps, the Nokia Smart Camera increases the user's capability in editing captured images.
