Nexus 4 Stock Firmware Images Gone from Google Website – But Why?
The LG-manufactured Nexus 4 is probably being improved to disallow users to use 4G on the device, according to a gadget review web site.
The Android Community website on Wednesday reported Google has removed from its web site the stock firmware images of its flagship mobile phone.

Writer Dave LeClair finds it curious that only the Nexus 4 images have been removed. He speculates the move is connected to a necessary improvement of the highly in-demand smartphone.
"The most obvious reason for Google pulling down the images is because of the exploit that allows users to use 4G on the Nexus 4 in certain areas. Perhaps Google is working on a fix for this," writes LeClair.

The Nexus 4 has gathered positive reviews way before it was available for gadget shoppers. Once available, stock went quickly on various online stores, including the Google Play Store. Google Nexus 4 has become quite an elusive product. However, the device is not without problems.
Users have complained issues with the Nexus 4 battery life, which seems to be affected by a problem in the earpiece of the phone. Connectivity has also been an issue for some mobile users.

"Perhaps Google wants to fix these issues, but it seems odd that they would need to completely remove the current image just to fix the issue," reports Android Community.
