Nexus 5 Render Boasts of Key Lime Pie, 5-Inch Screen, 1.9GHz Quad-Core Chip, 13.1MP Cam and Solar Back Panel
Google's Nexus 5 is out, at least in new concept images, in which the stock Android smartphone is pictured as a 5-inch quad-core device that runs the upcoming Key Lime Pie.
Thanks to Concept Phones and designer Rahul Sharma, we've got a fresh serving of the well-loved phone that reports this week have indicated will come in tempered upgrade, surprisingly not matching the high-end specs that new gadgets are flashing in ostentatious fashion.
Obviously, Mr Sharma is a fan of elegance and finesse as he rendered the Nexus 5 in a sprawling edge-to-edge 5-inch screen that virtually eliminates traces of bezel and delivers viewing pleasure in Full HD via SLCD3 display technology.
Powering the handset is a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip that clocks away with a top speed of 1.9GHz and to ensure that the phone can accommodate multi-tasking, a 2GB of RAM is generously provided.
True to Google's declaration that future Nexus devices will have insanely great camera features, the Nexus 5 according to Mr Sharma is a 13.1MP snapper, with the supporting shooting apps most likely to be delivered by Android 5.0.
The gadget is also laced with hexaband connectivity, microSIM slot, microSD expansion, HDMI port and a 3100mAh battery.
But the real distinction of this latest render is the ArcTouch button located at the lower front portion of the phone, doubling as the Home button and notification indicator that glows when calling for attention on unread messages or missed calls.
The handset also comes with a miniscule sensor on its right side, acting both as its volume controller and navigational key.
Wrapping the whole make is a mix of polycarbonate and anodised aluminium materials that allow the Nexus 5 to strut around in a kingly image, accentuating its role as Google's flagship device.
And the design ingenuity never seems to end as Mr Sharma included an optional solar panel at the back of the phone, both aesthetic and functional, the latter, of course, meant to gather energy from the sun.
This is definitely a Key Lime Pie device and the platform's presence is represented by Google Keep and Google Voice 2.
