Speculations for the Nexus 6 release date has already begun as one concept of the device started circulating while images of the LG G Pro 2, widely rumoured as the next Nexus smartphone, leaked out.

From Nexus6US.com, a device render emerged that shows off the Nexus 6 as a fusion between the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, which as everyone knows are creations of LG. The familiar elements were kept - premium body build and slim profile, which are keeping with 2013 smartphone standard that should be sustained this 2014 and for the immediate years to come.

The visualisation is short on details for now but keen Android watchers are expecting major bump ups from the Nexus 5. That would mean more robust casing materials that could match the rumoured Liquidmetal and sapphire combo that Apple is said to use with the iPhone 6.

Deep inside, the Nexus 6 should prove a powerhouse - likely drawing its energy from a quad-core Snapdragon CPU that is 64-bit. All the other components - RAM, storage, wireless chips and battery - should reflect the smartphone's massive jump from the 2013 model.

Yet if imagining how the Nexus 6 would look and behave will prove too hard, despite the concept mentioned, then LG is providing sufficient clues with its upcoming G Pro 2 than many believe is on its way to become next Nexus phone template.

BGR has picked up a set of images from a forum operated by DC Inside, showcasing a device that is quite similar to LG's current flagship - the LG G2. The images are viewable here.

Looking at the various angles provided by the images, it is easy to assume that the subject gizmo is the white LG G2, with its signature profile and the unique back button, serving primarily as volume rocker, right below the handset's rear camera lens.

The same images withheld the coveted details but if the phone is indeed the G Pro 2 then the specs and features should go along with the following: a near 6-inch display panel that renders in 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 800 chip that is paired with 3GB of RAM.

The whole package also includes top-notch wireless connectivity thanks to an LTE-Advanced radio chip. In case the device will come out in the first quarter of 2014, the star of LG's show is KitKat, likely in 4.4.2 build.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, this LG device is primarily geared to combat Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, somehow suggesting that the Nexus 5 successor is phablet-size. If recent rumours prove true that Google is set to retire the Nexus brand by 2015, then the last serving will prove quite BIG.

The Nexus 6 release date should be right smack in the second half of 2014 or a few months following the touted February or March debut of the LG G Pro 2.
