Google's Nexus program has been successful for the most part. Its first and second generation Nexus proved that the company can produce premium devices for a good price. The Google Nexus 5, on the other hand, marked the introduction of Google's newest Android 4.4 KitKat update. It earned positive reviews then. As the market continues to see smartphone and tablet releases, consumers wonder if Google will push through with its Nexus program again this year. It appears so as the Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 are starting to make headlines.

According to recent reports, HTC will be producing the Google Nexus 6. Looking at HTC's record with the HTC One and the HTC M8, it appears the tech company has figured out how to produce high quality smartphones enough to challenge leading contenders on the market. According to a report by Phones Review, the design of the Nexus 6 under HTC will impress and inspire consumers. It seems the company has been gearing up for a high end release.

The report also showed an HTC Nexus 6 concept from Aleksandar Tesic. According to the design, the device will sport an aluminum body. It will also follow a minimalistic design. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch display complete with a potential Full HD resolution. It also runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. The expected processor is based on the year or expected release of the device. It may change depending on when Google plans on releasing the Nexus 6.

Android 4.5 and Nexus 8

Similar to other tech companies, Google has also been releasing refreshed tablets by the year. According to recent reports, the company plans on releasing its new Android 4.5 operating system with the Nexus 8. The Android 4.4.3 update will come sooner.

The next Google OS is expected to launch during the Google I/O event in June. According to analysts, the internet giant will be venturing into the 8-inch market instead of the 7-inch group. The 7-inch market has been too saturated already. The 8-inch market has not been as quite ventured. It may pay off for the company. Reports also indicated that the Nexus 8 will sport similar features to the Nexus 7 but with a better processor and resolution.

Google has yet to make an official announcement about the upcoming devices.
