Nexus 6/Nexus X Confirmed with Moto X Features 5.92-inch screen
Google's Nexus 6 continues to create a buzz with new reports comparing its design to the Moto X. As Motorola has reportedly been tapped to produce the upcoming Nexus phone, predictions revolve around the company basing it on its present flagship. The upcoming smartphone, however, will reportedly push phablet definition going for a 5.92-inch screen bigger than ever before. Can Google deliver a killer device?
Many sources consider the Moto X 2014 release as one of the best this year. However, according to BGR, some also noted that Motorola could do better with the device. Fortunately, 9to5Google reported that Google has partnered with Motorola to create its next Nexus smartphone. The Nexus 6 will be a scaled up version of the 2014 Moto X.
It makes sense for Google to fashion the Nexus 6 from the 2014 Moto X because it did the same thing to previous Nexus manufacturers like LG. There is also the possibility that the Nexus 6 has been dubbed the Nexus X because it will take after the Moto X. Google has not released the final details for the upcoming flagship thus there is still room for interpretation on the countless leaks surfacing. Reported features for the Shamu device include 5.92-inch display, QHD display offering 2560 x 1440 resolution, pixel density at 498 ppi, 3GB RAm, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 13MP camera.
According to Value Walk, the Nexus 6 may be released alongside the Nexus 9. Both devices will feature the Android L platform showcasing a genuine Android experience.
There were several sources claiming that Google intends to release both devices around mid-October. This should be around October 16 although some analysts argue it may be closer to October 24. The official Android L download will be available around November 9. Google is up against two major products this latter part of the year: the iPhone 6 and the Galaxy Note 4.
