The Android 5.0 Lollipop and Android 5.1 update series have yet to reach all devices but it appears Google's working on a new OS firmware. According to the latest sighting, the Android 5.1.1 software showed up on Google’s Android audio latency information page firing up speculations that the rollout should just be around the corner. What does Google have up its sleeves? Will the Android 5.1.1 address problems in the previous OS updates?

While the rest of the Android community has been on the lookout for the remaining releases of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update and the upcoming schedules of the Android 5.1, Google apparently has been working on a new build already. The Android 5.1.1 software update made an appearance on Android’s page recently. Consequently, the firmware was connected to the Nexus 7 2013 and the Nexus 9 devices with build numbers LMY47W and LMY47S respectively.

Additionally, the post reveals the build date around Feb. 16. However, it is difficult to pinpoint whether the build date specified will be related at all to the release of the software to the mentioned devices. So far, Google has already rolled out the Android 5.1 software to the Nexus 7 series. The Nexus 9 has yet to receive the software as the series has been stuck on the Android 5.0 rollout following the announcement of the Android 5.1 software more than a month after.

Nonetheless, expectations abound to the near release of the Android 5.1.1 as it has already shown up on the Android page. Details included in the page can be considered as legitimate data based from Android's history. Nonetheless, Google has yet to make the final announcement including details on the fixes for issues plaguing the current Android update lineup series. Users will also have to wait for announcements from their network providers for final schedules.
