NFL News: Antonio Cromartie Signs 4-Year $32M Deal, Reunites With Darrel Revis With New York Jets
Antonio Cromartie is returning to the New York Jets after signing a four-year deal worth $32 million with the team in the 2015 offseason of the National Football League, or NFL. Cromartie’s return will pave the way for a reunion with Darrell Revis, who was Cromartie’s teammate from 2010 to 2012 with the Jets.
The deal was confirmed by Manish Mehta, the NFL reporter and Jets columnist for the New York Daily News.
Cromartie also showed his excitement about the reunion with a post on Twitter.
Revis was reportedly active in recruiting Cromartie back with the Jets describing the tandem as “Batman and Robin”. Earlier in the offseason, Revis signed a five year deal worth $70 million contract with the Jets. Cromartie played for the Jets from 2010 to 2013 and with he Arizona Cardinals in 2014.
Revis played for the Jets from 2007 to 2012 before one year stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013 and the New England Patriots in 2014. Cromartie has made the NFL Pro Bowl four times in his career in 2007, 2012, 2013 and 2014 and also made the NFL First Team All-Pro in 2007. For his nine years in the league, Cromartie is credited 391 tackles, 2 quarterback sacks, 23 interceptions with 367 interception return yards and six forced fumbles.
