Nick Gordon Asks Dr. Phil Not To Tell Him To 'Man Up'
Dr. Phil sitting down with Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend, showed how vulnerable he currently is. Nick is said to be taking Bobbi’s medically induced coma bad and could not believe that Dr. Phil is even asking him to “man up” and check in on rehab.
The first clip of Nick and Dr Phil.’s conversation revealed how worried Nick is over Bobbi’s current condition and how fearful he is of losing her. On the interview, he also raised how he fears losing “Krissy,” his pet name for Bobbi, just three years since losing legendary singer Whitney Houston, Bobbi’s mom, after being found on the same fashion -- passed out in a bathtub and overdosed with cocaine. Nick said he did everything in his power to protect the Whitney and Bobbi. Whitney, had taken care of him since he was 12.
On the clip, even though he had his own mother’s comforting presence by his side, Nick appeared panicked and distraught. When Dr. Phil told him to man up and sought the help of rehab, Nick spoke up to defend himself, saying he did not need to man up more than he already did because he had been strong for others for so long. "I’ve been so strong for so many people for so long, so please don’t tell me to man up,” he asked of the talk show host.
After the said interview turned intervention, Nick seemed to have followed Dr. Phil’s advice though. He checked himself into rehab for drugs.
While it seems that Dr. Phil’s interview with Nick helped him stay strong amid the difficult time he is currently experiencing, not all are happy that such an intervention was granted to Nick. Bobby Brown’s sister or Bobbi’s aunt, wrote Dr. Phil a letter through Facebook admonishing him for allowing Nick such a platform. Leolah Brown said there is a strong evidence of foul play on her niece’s case. She particularly believes Nick has something to do with it and said that police officers are investigating Nick for “attempted murder,” even though the police stated no such thing. She said Dr. Phil and other media outlets should not give Nick the chance to “spin” the case to his favor.
