Nintendo’s “Mario Kart” series is again going to receive the spotlight with a new Wii U bundle. Despite being released a couple of months back, “Mario Kart 8” is still one of Nintendo’s notable bread winners.

Nintendo recently announced a new $299.99 (AU $425.54) Wii U bundle that is set to ship with “Mario Kart 8” pre-installed. Aside from the full game, the bundle will also include Nintendo eShop download cards for the game’s download packs.

According to the official Nintendo website, the bundle is currently available at retail stores. This news comes just a couple of days before the Sept. 11 release of the highly anticipated “Super Mario Maker” for the Wii U. “Super Mario Maker” can also be bought as a bundle which includes an 8-bit Mario amiibo and a Wii U.

This is the second “Mario Kart 8” Wii U bundle to be released in the market. Just last May, Nintendo began selling the first “Mario Kart 8” Wii U bundle for $329.99 (AU $468.10). The main difference between the two bundles is that the new bundle will ship with a digital copy of both the DLC’s and the game itself, whereas the previous bundle shipped with a physical copy of the game without DLCs.

For players who wish to sample “Mario Kart 8” before making any commitments with purchases, the title will also make an appearance at this year’s EGX, as reported by Nintendo Life. Players will have a chance to battle it out in 200cc courses of the game. Just last year, Nintendo held a similar tournament at EGX 2014.

The tournament began at battles played through the online capabilities of the Wii U. After a series of races, the participants were whittled down to 12 who met and battled at EGX. The top three racers were awarded with respective trophies as well as a bag of freebies.
