The online petition for evasion 6.1.3 jailbreak has so far gathered nearly 2,000 signatures. However, the Apple hackers group is still not releasing a jailbreak took for the latest iOS iteration. iPhone 5 jailbreak is also unavailable for its exclusive iOS 6.1.4 firmware update.

"Since iOS 6.1.4 firmware has released solely for the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5 is an A6 device, currently there is no bootROM dump for this device," iDesignTimes said in its report.

"If you are an iPhone 5 user with a functional jailbreak on your device DO NOT UPGRADE to iOS 6.1.4 -- you will lose your jailbreak," the site stressed. This is a warning against those who are very eager to update without realizing that a jailbreak may not be readily available.

In its over-the-air release of iOS 6.1.4 update for iPhone 5, Apple's description notes "updated audio profile for speakerphone." As in previous cases, there have been some users' complaints of battery life issues post-update. No iPhone 5 jailbreak has been made available by Redsnow, too. The update was released on May 2.

Meanwhile, on Change, org, the petition for evasi0n to release a 6.1.3 jailbreak appears to be a lost cause. The evad3rs have been consistent in hinting their efforts will be concentrated on an iOS 7 jailbreak.

"The standard iPhone is rubbish, without a Jailbreak we can't make it better. Come on evasi0n do your magic," notes petition signee Anthony Ambrose.

"We are not working on a 6.1.3 jailbreak that would be too much efforts (sic) for a minimal update. We're waiting for a major release," Evad3r Pod2g previously explained on Twitter.

"We'll probably wait until the next major release," David Wang (planetbeing), one of the evad3rs, has earlier told Forbes.

Users of jailbroken iOS 6.1.2 devices are advised to stick to the OS if they want to keep using the evasi0n tool.
