No Google Nexus 10 2 Release Date Soon, as Previous Tablet Back in Stock in Play Store
Google fans may have to wait longer for the Nexus 10 2 release date, as its predecessor made a comeback in the Google Play Store.
The 32 GB version of the original Nexus 10 is back in stock in the Play Store, so consumers can start ordering again. It has been over 2 weeks when the first generation of Nexus 10 was reported to be out of stock. Following the out of stock reports, Google Play Store of some countries still listed the device, but it was only a matter of hours before it became unavailable. This sparked rumours that the successor of Google's 10-inch tablet is on its way.
It was speculated that Google Nexus 10 2 release date will happen at the Consumer Electronics Show last month. However, the device skipped the said release date. And Google still has not revealed any detail about its plans and devices for this year. With the reappearance of the original Nexus 10 in the Play Store, the Nexus 10 2 release date may be delayed further.
Moreover, there were rumours claiming that Google will drop the Nexus line to shift its focus to making Google Play Editions of Android devices. This rumour started from tech industry observer Edgar Murtazin's tweet which claimed that Google will discontinue the Nexus line.
Many fans have been waiting for Google Nexus 10 2 since late last year. However, the 10-inch tablet skipped a lot of speculated release date before. With unknown release date, the Nexus 10 2 is expected to pack a new version of the Android OS. There were rumours that Nexus 10 will pack the 4.5 version of Google's Android, which could be an upgraded version of Kitkat or a new different software.
Google Nexus 10 2 rumoured features are 10-inch screen with 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution, a 5-MP rear camera and a 3-MP front-facing camera. The device will run with Samsung Exynos 5 processor paired with 3 GB RAM. However, some reports claimed that Google Nexus 10 2 will pack a NVIDIA Tegra 4 chip processor. Other rumoured features said that Nexus 10 2 tablet will have a 12-inch screen display and a separate graphics chipset Adreno 330.
