No iPhone 5 release this summer; iPhone 4 white version to reign until 2012
Yesterday’s WWDC conference confirmed the many speculations that there won’t be any Apple iPhone 5 release this summer. More so, the waiting for the latest mobile sensation begins from now. Until when? No one knows.
Besides the early speculation that Apple’s major supplier ran out of its lithium ion batteries due to the Japan catastrophe, another idea why the next generation phone was not released is the absence of new software to run it. But with the coming of iOS 5 that theory was denied.
iOS 5 is believed to be launched this fall, so Apple fans thought iPhone 5 will be released along with it. On the other hand, some say that the late release of the white version of iPhone 4 might have also affected the discharge of its successor. As it is still selling pretty well, Apple might stretch its trend up until the following year.
Moreover, the mobile phone could still be undertaking a major overhaul to showcase a big difference in comparison to its predecessors. Reigning as the most famed among all the smartphones these days, the iPhone 4 still has many aspects to improve on. And as we all know, Apple continues to perfect its current product by always releasing an updated version every year if not every summer as it already broke that tradition this year. Although there are many ideas about how it is going to be, the iPhone 5 is still expected to be released in 4G version.
While iOS 5 is a great software, it will need a hardware release along with it for Apple patrons may just go their competitors if the long wait continues.
