No iPhone 6.1.4, 6.1.3 Evasi0n Jailbreak? iOS 7 Has Been Jailbroken! (Or At Least It Seems So)
Many iPhone users who have upgraded to iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 (exclusive to iPhone 5 OS) have been waiting for an Evasi0n jailbreak utility. Now it looks like iOS 7 has been jailbroken, so hackers have proven once more that Apple is still not able to put an end to jailbreaking. At least not yet.
The last evasi0n utility released was for iOS 6.1.2. Evasi0n was a massive hit for jailbreaking iOS 6 for millions of Apple device users from late 2012. However, the evad3rs skipped iOS 6.1.3, which blocked a lot of exploits that the hackers used to develop their jailbreak. Fears arose that Apple may have been successful in discouraging the jailbreakers.
The evad3rs, however, said there are still remaining exploits. They just wanted to wait for the next major iOS update before releasing a fresh jailbreak code. Three weeks since iOS 7 was unveiled, the evad3rs have not yet teased some tweaking developments. They have, however, hinted an evasi0n jailbreak will come out when iOS7 is rolled out for public use.
Other hackers have clearly been exploring, too. In fact, a major clue of iOS 7 jailbreak has been shown off on Twitter recently. Developer Ryan Petrich (@rpetrich) teased-tweeted on Monday an image of what seems to be a jailbroken iPod Touch. (See image above.)
Petrich has worked on a number of iPhone hacks in the past. Activator, the utility used on the jailbroken iPod touch, is only one of his works. He also delivered DietBar, FullForce and LiveClock to iDevice users.
Another developer on Twitter, Jason Hill (@p0sixninja) is set to launch what he calls an open jailbreak.
Ok, I hate redsn0w, I hate sn0wbreeze, and I hate 6.1.3. I'm ready to get this #openjailbreak off the ground

Jailbreaking lives on despite Apple's persistent efforts to block the exploits that allow hackers to have greater control of iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices. As for evasi0n, their iOS 7 jailbreak silence does not mean no new utility from the team.
@RaquelMarieM I have no idea. But iOS 7 is not out yet... So... — pod2g (@pod2g) June 22, 2013
iPhone users can relax now. Those stuck on non-jailbroken iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 will be able to upgrade to iOS 7 later this year. And they're likely to be jailbroken soon after their new OS installation.
