Nokia 6 specs, release date & price: MWC 2017 highlights
Nokia and HMD just announced that the recently revealed Nokia phone lineup will be released globally at the Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017). During the unveiling, the companies revealed three new Android phones. One of them is the Nokia 6, which will now be available worldwide.

Nokia 6 specs
Nokia 6 is a unibody Android 7.0 Nougat phone that is made from a single block of Series 6000 aluminium. It has a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. It is fitted with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. Furthermore, it holds Adreno 505 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 64GB of storage and a 3,000mAh battery.
The phone’s announcement in the MWC 2017 was drawn towards its multimedia functionality that have dual amplifiers that can deliver a 6dB louder sound than a regular amp in smartphones. This means that it will provide better sound while Dolby Atmos will help it provide a more powerful audio.
The rear camera of this phone is 16MP with a f/2.0 aperture. It also has phase-detection autofocus. The selfie camera, on the other hand, has a whopping 8MP.
Nokia 6 price and release
Nokia 6 was the first phone that Nokia announced from its Nokia Android phone lineup. While it was only available in China prior to MWC 2017, it will now be selling globally at EUR229 (AU$316). A Nokia 6 R Special Edition will also be sold at EUR299 (AU$412). The special edition will have a piano black gloss finish and will be available globally in Q2 this year.
In the early part of the year, Nokia announced the Nokia 6 smartphone that will be sold in China. According to their statistics per PC Advisor, they said that the Nokia 6 sold out in just 23 seconds after its announcement. In light of this, Nokia wants to become the biggest smartphone player again. However, it is still looking at the next chapter of smartphones that it will sell along with its partner HMD Global.
Nokia’s newest Android phones are explained to be different compared to the Android phones in the market today. The main reason being is the company’s focus on everyday experience. It wants to build premium design along with build quality to make sure that the model lineup will sit through the changing times of technology.
