Nokia Android phone 2017 could be showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain in late February. In fact, HMD Global, the company is rumoured to be behind the Nokia Android smartphones, has confirmed that it would be attending the event. All this point towards a launch and fans are extremely excited.
Tech enthusiasts have already spotted some midrange to top-range Nokia Android smartphones on top benchmarking sites and have even analysed them. According to leaks, the Nokia Android phone 2017 will have a QHD 2K Display. HMD Global is reportedly bringing back Nokia into the mobile business and Foxconn will be manufacturing the Nokia smartphones.
The Nokia Android phone 2017 does not have a name yet. Leaks suggest the smartphone will belong to the high-end segment and may have a 5.2-inch or 5.5-inch display. As per TechWorm, it will be a Nokia flagship that will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. However, by 2017, the Snapdragon 835 chipset will already be in use.
Thus, the Nokia Android phone 2017 may, in fact, sport the Snapdragon 835 processor. The device is said to run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Car Zeiss lens may be used in the smartphone’s camera. The handset may be made water and dust proof and feature a metal uni-body design, reports Gadgets 360.
Geekbench recently released information about an entry-level Nokia Pixel phone that would be sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor, clocked in at 1.19 GHz during its test. It will also have 1GB RAM and an Adreno 302 GPU. The smartphone is also said to be coming with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Around two months back, a mid-range phone, Nokia D1C, also went through several Geekbench tests and scored 682 on its single-core tests and also peaked at 3,229 on one of its multi-core performance. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core chipset and Adreno 505 GPU, the handset also hinted at a 3GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
