Nokia Lumia 1020 EOS vs. Sony Xperia Honami: Comparison on Upcoming Camera Devices [PHOTOS]
Nokia and Sony are now focusing on the development of their new device's camera as well as its features to impress the consumers. The upcoming Nokia Lumia 1020 EOS and Sony Xperia Honami will be battling each other in the tough market competition with their exceptional camera sensor and design together with impressive features and specs.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 EOS is anticipated to offer the 41MP PureView camera with 7152x5368p resolution, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and Xenon flash. Some of the additional camera features reportedly included are the ND filter, optical zoom, geo-tagging and face detection.
On the other hand, the upcoming Sony Xperia Honami is rumoured to have a 20MP rear-facing camera with Sony's Exmor RS back-illuminated sensor (BSI) technology. The Sony Cybershot camera UI feature is expected to be included in the Honami together with the Xenon flash, LED flash, and Mobile BIONZ image processing technology to further enhance the camera features.
The Xperia Blog has listed the Sony Xperia i1 Honami camera features such as Info-eye, Timeshift and Fish-Eye lens. The Info-eye can allow the users to conduct a visual search while Timeshift captures a series of images over a period of time and the Fish-Eye lens serves as a set of filters for the device that can support higher resolution on image processing.
The Sony Xperia Honami will sport the 5-inch Full HD screen display comparable to the Sony Xperia Z, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 330GPU and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor similar to the Sony Xperia Z Ultra Togari. For the Nokia Lumia EOS smartphone, the Windows Phone 8 handset will have a screen size of 4.5 inches with a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU.
Nokia and Sony have not yet officially released the two camera devices but they are reportedly scheduled for a July 2013 launch. The excitement is currently fixated on the Nokia Lumia 1020 EOS appearance and announcement at the Nokia press event scheduled on July 11 in New York City.
