Nokia Lumia 2020: Nokia ‘Illusionist’ Tablet Set for April 2014 Release?
The Nokia Lumia 2020 "Illusionist" tablet, another upcoming Nokia device with a striking codename, is set for a release on April 2014 according to the Digitimes report. The new Nokia tablet is expected to have the Windows RT similar to its brother, the Nokia Lumia 2520, as well as other features and specs.
Anonymous sources have leaked that the Nokia Lumia 2020 tablet features and specs include an 8-inch screen display, the power of a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Windows 8.1 RT and 2GB of RAM. Additionally, the Finnish device maker is expected to also provide a keyboard dock for the smaller Nokia Lumia tablet.
The upcoming Nokia Lumia 2020 could be the high-end tablet that can step up in the tough market competition. Though Digitimes, the Taiwan-based tech industry news organization, only provided little information on the tablet's specs, the hardware and software in the Nokia Lumia 2020 would meet or exceed what the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet offers.
In the Tom's Hardware report, the Nokia Lumia 2520 will be put up for sale at $399 price featuring the 10.1-inch IPS screen with 1920x1080p resolution and Corning's Gorilla Glass 2 screen protection. The tablet is also powered with the 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 6.7MP rear-facing camera, 2 MP front-facing camera and 8000 mAh battery that guarantees 25 days of maximum standby time.
Additional features and specs include the Wireless N and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, NFC, USB 3.0 port, 32 GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded up to 64 GB through the microSD card slot, an ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity Sensor, Magnetometer, microHDMI output and 4G LTE connectivity.
As for the Nokia Lumia 2020 tablet's launch date, the IntoMobile report claims Nokia will most likely make the announcement on the upcoming "Illusionist" tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2014 or the Mobile World Congress in February 2014. Another Nokia device expected to make an appearance at the 2014 MWC is the Nokia Lumia 1820 smartphone where the new handset will feature the Lytro-style camera that allows the users to make changes on the focus of an image after it has been captured.
