Nokia Lumia 530 (Dual-Sim) Spotted in a Retailer Site; Specifications and Features Listed—Reports
A retail outlet in Vietnam has already listed the unofficial Nokia Lumia 530 on its site. The site also states the device will be offered in five different colour choices: green, orange, white, grey and blue. However, Microsoft has not spoken a word about the upcoming Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone, thus far.
Apparently, the alleged Nokia Lumia 530 will be the successor of the Lumia 520 and Lumia 525 variants. All three handsets run on the Windows Phone OS. Also, these phones are entry-level smartphones from Nokia/Microsoft, says Phone Arena.
The reported specifications and features from the Vietnamese retailer Mainguyen seems to confirm to the already rumoured information floating around online. This includes 4-inch display with 480 x 854 pixel screen resolution and 246-ppi pixel density.
Notably, if the rumours are true, the phone will feature ClearBlack display. The ClearBlack technology makes the outdoor viewing experience slightly better. As Brett Howse of Anand Tech puts it, "It can make any [sic] mediocre display look OK, and a good display look great, at least in my experience."
The Nokia Lumia 530 will reportedly be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. Also, as mentioned earlier, the handset will run on the latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS.
The phone is also believed to house an inferior 512 MB of RAM along with 4 GB of internal storage capacity. It is worth noting the RAM specification of the Lumia 530, if proven true, is a downgrade from the 1 GB RAM of the Lumia 525. However, the device will reportedly support microSD card for expansion up to 128 GB. The Lumia 530 is rumoured to be 0.46-inch thick (thicker than the Lumia 520 and Lumia 525), and weighs 129 g.
Furthermore, the handset is expected to house a 5-MP rear-facing camera with no LED flash and no secondary camera unit. The Lumia 530 is also believed to be a dual-SIM phone that supports micro-SIM type.
The device will house a Li-ion 1,430-mAh battery unit, according to rumours. The Lumia 525 also comes with the same battery specification, with a capacity of up to 10 hours and 40 minutes of 3G talk-time and 336 hours of 3G standby time.
When it comes to connectivity, the device will reportedly support all the standard options like Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot and microUSB v2.0.
Moreover, the release date and the price details, along with the announcement, of the device are awaited. Nevertheless, the initial release could target the emerging markets followed by the markets in the U.S. Specifically, T-Mobile and MetroPCS are expected to sell this handset in the U.S., says Phone Arena.
