The Nokia Lumia 730 is one of the best selfie smartphones available in the market. The Lumia 730 that features a 5 MP front-facing camera has been used by Microsoft in collaboration with Coco-Cola to capture the world’s largest selfie ever.

According to Neowin.net, Microsoft had recently organized a marketing event at Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in Bangladesh on Nov 22. Microsoft allowed the local citizens to participate in it to create a world record by snapping a selfie with maximum number of people. In order to get the exact head count, Microsoft had arranged a registration booth for the participants.

Participants were also given a chance to win the newly launched Lumia 730 selfie phone that features a 5 MP camera. According to Neowin, the Guiness World Records’ website claims that such a record for snapping the largest ever selfie has been never set before. The snapped photo includes 1,151 people. The selfie has been posted on Microsoft Lumia Bangladesh Facebook page.

Microsoft is awaiting confirmation from Guiness to confirm their record. According to GSMArena, handset manufacturer Lava had also tired their luck to beat the selfie chain record by snapping a photo with 1,000 people standing in queue. Even this record has not received any confirmation from Guiness.

The Lumia 730 is available in two editions, namely the Lumia 730 and the Lumia 735. The former is a dual-SIM handset whereas the latter features a single SIM. Apart from the SIM difference, both the handsets feature the same specifications. The Lumia 730 has been designed to capture amazing selfies. Also, it is one of the last handsets to feature the Nokia brand name after the Microsoft acquisition.
