Nokia Lumia 800 is the first device shipped with Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and ready for 7.8 version update. The device features AMOLED display screen, Gorilla Glass, 1.4GHz processor, 512GB RAM, and 8MP rear camera shooter with Carl Zeiss Optics. Lumia 800 has many secrets just like Lumia 710 and Lumia 920.

Social and People Hub

  • Live tiles is a unique feature by Windows Phone displaying live updates and feeds from your applications. Using the People App, you can view all status updates, check in and newly posted photos from your friends.
  • Group list you have created also appears on the People App and lets you send SMS or email right inside the app.

Music Hub

  • The music app from Nokia Lumia 800 not only functions to play your favourite songs but also display your music genre from the online radio.
  • Nokia Mix can find the tracks you want from that genre and streams for you to listen. If you like it, you can buy and download the track online.

Live Tiles

  • Aside from live feeds and updates, you can also pin not only applications or contacts but also functions of certain applications on the Live Tiles. For example, instead of going to Foursquare app to check-in, you can pin the "Check-in" function of the app directly to the home screen. Alternatively, you can also pin the "location" to check-in instantly.
  • You can rearrange or delete tiles by simply press holding on icons and add others from you menu or inside apps.

Bing Search

  • Using the Visual Search or the "eye icon" allows Bing to find details about what the camera is looking at. An example is text translation from one language to another. The feature also works with QR codes.
  • You can use the Voice Search or the "mic icon" to make Bing find topics online such as Sports or Weather.
  • The Music Search or "note icon" allows Bing to listen on a music track and traces its information online. Bing will display the title, album, and artist. Bing also offers purchase and download.

System Features

  • You can hold press the "back" key to view all apps in the background and switch between them.
  • If someone is calling you and you're currently in a meeting, simply press the volume key to silence the device.
  • To customise the colour scheme of your Lumia, go to "Settings > Theme > Select the desired accent colour."
  • With Lumia phones, you can access the camera app even if the phone is locked. To activate this function, go to "Settings > Left Swipe to Applications > Pictures+Camera > Switch on the wake up the phone option." Anytime you press and hold the camera button, your Lumia device will take a snapshot.
  • If you want to keep a backup of your pictures using cloud storage, go to "Settings > Applications > Pictures+Camera > Automatically upload to Sky Drive." This will make your SkyDrive account updated.
