Display, Exterior And Size
The Nokia Lumia 830 features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display along with 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution and 294 ppi pixel density. The Lumia 730, on the other hand, comes with a 4.7-inch OLED display and 316 ppi pixel density; however, the resolution is same as the Lumia 830.
When it comes to design, the Lumia 730 looks like a replica of the predecessor Lumia 720 with polycarbonate chassis and angular corners. Under the hood, both the handsets are powered by the same quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 OS. As far as the memory goes, the Lumia 730 provides 8 GB of internal storage, whereas the Lumia 830 comes with 16 GB support. However, both the smartphones support microSD card for expansion up to 128 GB.
Camera And Battery
The Nokia Lumia 830 sports a killer 10 MP PureView primary camera complemented by the famous Carl Zeiss optics, OIS support and LED flash. The Lumia 730, on the other hand, sports a 6.7 MP rear-facing unit with LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics, but there is no OIS support. Known as the selfie phone, the Lumia 730 houses a killer 5 MP frontal camera for selfies, while the Lumia 830 settles for 0.9 MP unit. When it comes to battery, both the phones are backed by the same Li-Ion 2200 mAh battery unit. However, the difference comes in the form of battery life sustainability between both the devices.
