After recently unveiling the Nokia Lumia 925, the Finnish company took images from their latest Lumia addition and other rival smart phones like iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z to boldly show the remarkable Nokia camera features. The captured images show two women who appears to be conversing while having a cup of tea in low-lighting conditions.

Nokia reportedly took the photographs using the automatic settings on the smart phone cameras. The results obviously show the excellent performance of the Nokia Lumia 928 camera where the Nokia Smart Camera is the most noticeable enhancement on the smart phone's imaging capability.

"The Nokia Lumia 925 is the fruit of all the imaging experience we've had at Nokia over the years. We introduced a lot of new technologies and algorithms with the Lumia 920 and now we have made huge improvements to the whole imaging system. The algorithms and hardware are perfectly tailored to work together," Nokia's head of imaging technologies, Juha Alakarhu, shared.

The low-light performance on the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 928 is already great with the unique Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) and f2.0 optics. However, the updates currently seen on the Nokia Lumia 925 shows that the camera performance got even better. T

"The effective maximum ISO on our high-end Nokia Lumia cameras moves from 800 to 3200 - four times higher. Your smart phone camera should be able to capture everything you can see with your own eyes," Alakarhu stated.

With upcoming smart phones, there will still be more developments possible to the different parts of a camera system that can offer superior performance. "Having set new standards for smart phone photography back in September with the Nokia Lumia 920, especially in low light, we've really been able to make the results even better with this update. Although the most significant results will be seen with the Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 925 and Lumia 928 - improvements in photo quality will be seen across the range," the imaging expert added.
