Verizon Wireless has started accepting online pre-orders for the recently unveiled Nokia Lumia 928 smart phone with its shipping scheduled on May 20. Unfortunately, the Nokia Lumia 928 white version is currently not offered but the mobile carrier will offer subscribers a $25 credit for the Window Phone Store on a limited time.

The Nokia Windows Phone 8 handset pre-orders can be conducted at the Verizon Wireless web site with a price of $99 after a $50 worth discount on a two-year agreement. Subscribers who wish to get hold of the Nokia Lumia 928 outright will have to pay $499.99 with a month-to-month service.

The black and white color choices for the Nokia Lumia 928 are listed on the Amazon web site but when the white version is selected, no shipping date tag appears. Subscribers can still patiently wait for upcoming deals since Amazon Wireless offers much better smart phone deals compared to the other carriers after a new smart phone has been unveiled.

Nokia Lumia 928 is basically an enhanced Nokia Lumia 920 with the Xenon flash feature capable of capturing high-quality images in low-lighting conditions. The latest Lumia range is powered with the 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity.

The other remarkable features and specifications of Nokia Lumia 928 include the 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ OLED display with a WXGA resolution, the 2000mAh battery, and the 8.7MP PureView camera technology with Carl Zeiss optics.

Nokia Lumia 928 has a built-in 1.2MP front-facing camera for the video chat feature, support for the Verizon 4G LTE network, NFC and a number of Nokia's custom Windows Phone applications such as Nokia Music, Nokia HERE Maps, Smart Shoot, Cinemagraph and Panorama.
