Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware update for HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 Google Play Editions was supposed roll out this week but has been postponed due to Google's request. Apparently, Google is requesting for another software version and HTC awaits approval before the update can be released officially.

Owners of the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 Google Play Editions will have to wait a little longer to get the official Android 5.0 Lollipop software update. HTC Vice President for Product Management, Mo Versi, sent out a tweet regarding the delay of Android 5.0 for HTC One GPEs. Google seems to have requested a new software version for the devices and HTC is waiting for the approval.
