'Once Upon a Time' Season 5: Costas Mandylor cast as Captain Silver; Pictures of Emma Swan surface

“Once Upon a Time” Season 5 will introduce a new character by the name of Captain Silver. Actor Costas Mandylor has reportedly been cast to play the new character on the show. Meanwhile, some behind the scenes pictures of Emma Swan have surfaced online.

According to a report by ETOnline, Captain Silver is a pirate who has some history with Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). Details about the character are currently being kept under wraps.

Mandylor is a veteran Hollywood actor who has been a part of many movies and TV shows over the years. His most famous role is as Mark Hoffman in the “Saw” movie series. His most recent work includes “Guardian Angel” and “The Blackout.”

His new role of Captain Silver in the TV series is speculated to be a Storybrooke version of the pirate Long John Silver from the novel “Treasure Island.” Disney has already adapted the story of the novel into an animation movie titled “Treasure Planet,” which was released in 2002.

It is not clear how Captain Silver will be introduced in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 and what his relationship was with Hook. The main plot of the next part of the season will revolve around the heroes travelling to the underworld to save Hook. The heroes will meet many of the characters from their past in the underworld and will also get to meet Hades (Greg Germann).

Meanwhile, behind the scenes pictures of the show posted on Spoiler TV show that Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) will be back to her old self. The pictures show the actress filming her scenes at Vancouver.

Morrison was reportedly filming a flashback scene for “Once Upon a Time” Season 5. The show has already cast two young actors to play young Regina and a young Zelena in the next part of the season.
