One Aussie gets the chance to travel into space via Virgin Galactic
Virgin Money, the financial services arm of Virgin Group, is giving one lucky Australian the chance to fulfil their childhood dream and travel into space on the Virgin Galactic.
Sir Richard Branson, Virgin Group’s founder and CEO is in town to celebrate Virgin Money’s birthday and has announced that Virgin Money will send one lucky Aussie to space as a part of its birthday celebrations.
The promotion will be the first of its kind for a financial services provider in Australia and will be launched in conjunction with the Virgin Money Childhood Dreams Index, which has revealed the nation’s dreams and ambitions in brand new research.
“I always dreamt of going to space and it seems Aussies did too. Our research told us that half of all boys and 1 in 5 girls dreamt of going to space when they were children and I’m thrilled that we’ll be making the ultimate childhood dream come true for someone here in Australia," said Sir Richard.
The competition is open to all current and new Virgin Money customers. Any Australian resident who holds an active Virgin Money product before 01 October 2011 is eligible to enter.
Entries to the competition can be made at virginmoney.com.au. The winner will be announced on 15 October 2011.
