One Direction Debut 'I'm Yours' Acoustic [VIDEO]
Even after the recently concluded 2012 London Olympics, there are still numerous reasons to keep an eye on Britain. and one of those reasons is the millennial boy band One Direction, who coincidentally, also performed during the closing ceremony last weekend.
Recently, a One Direction fan channel released an acoustic version of "I'm Yours" sung by 1D members, and is still raking in views.
Recorded and shot on the set of "What Makes You Beautiful", the five boys created an impromptu jam session on the beach side where they sang one of Jason Mraz's most well-known song, "I'm Yours, " with Niall playing the guitar while the other four sang along.
"I like how Niall was the only one who really knew the song." commented one fan named JustLaughLucy on the YouTube page of 1DIRECTIONFANSS.
"I'm Yours" was first released in 2008 by Jason Mraz as the first single off his third studio album, "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things." The song was extremely successful in the US BIllboard charts, spending the hefty amount of 76 weeks on the Hot 100, with over 6 million downloads in the US alone. On January 2012, it was named the best selling digital song of all time.
Fans who can't get enough of the British boy band singing acoustic versions of past hits can catch their cover of Oasis's Wonderwall also on the same YouTube channel.
One Direction is a British-Irish boy band who got their first break as individuals auditioning for the British television competition, "The X Factor". The band is made up of Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan. Although they finished third in the competition, they are now considered the biggest boy band in the world.
Their success even led to Harry Styles dating Caroline Flack, an older woman who was the host for "The X Factor." Unfortunately, as most high profile relationships go, they did not last long, and Flack is now being berated by fans.
After this small intrigue that plagued the boys, they still continue to create beautiful music together.
Without a doubt, fans will be clamoring for more unplugged versions of their songs.
