‘One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3’ Will Have Original Storyline
“One Piece” is currently one of the most popular mangas and animes right now. With a show that has gone over 500 episodes and a manga that is also still ongoing, it’s clear that the franchise still has a lot of steam in it. So it’s interesting to note that the latest “One Piece” game, “One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3” will have an original storyline not seen in either the manga or the anime.
The game is set to be a massive piece of fan service for “One Piece” fans, as the title will start all the way from the beginning of the series and end with the current Dressrosa arc. Since the Dressrosa arc is currently still ongoing, Bandai Namco have decided to give the game an original storyline ending as reported by Siliconera.
It seems that the decision was made to add an original ending, due to the developers thinking that several fans would want the Dressrosa storyline to appear in some shape or form in the game. This way the game feels completely up to date with the Japanese comic it is based on.
Fans of the previous games in the “Pirate Warriors” series will find the gameplay familiar, a sit still uses the “Dynasty Warriors” system, where there will be a huge amount of enemies to take on. Destructoid has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version of the game will have players fighting over 200 enemies on screen, while PlayStation 3 users will take on about 100 opponents instead, which is still fairly impressive.
As many fans know, the game’s roster is obviously a large one, especially considering how much storylines are being integrated into the game. “One Piece” enthusiasts will be happy to know that new character Shanks from the Dressrosa arc will join lead character Luffy and the gang for “Pirate Warriors 3.”
“One Piece: Pirate Warrior 3” will be coming out in August for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4 and the PC. However, the US will only get a physical copy of the PS4 version, while Europe will be getting other versions of the game, due to the anime being more popular in Europe than in America.
